On the port side of the dinette is the navigation station with a chart table and more

Deck & Equipment

Maxwell HRCFF Windlass,
35 ft chain, 150 ft 8 Plait main anchor rode,
Fortress and Spade anchors,
Forespar telescoping whisker pole, mast track,
Hammock, davits,
Washdown Pump,
Remote controlled spot light,
Wessex EPIRB.

CENTERBOARDS:
Throughout the history of the Gemini Catamaran, the centerboards have always been her
secret weapon: the reason why she points so well to windward. The centerboards in the
Gemini I 0SMc have an advanced asymmetric shape that lifts the boat to windward with
reduced drag. The boards are now molded with closed cell foam, which ensures they will
last a lifetime. The centerboard case now has a Plexiglass cover enabling the operator to
see whether they are up or down. Centerboards are operated from inside and will
easily kick up if the boat is grounded. The boards allow 5 ft. 6 in. draft when down
and 18 inches when up.

FOREDECK:
The Gemini I 05Mc like all other Gemini models has a solid foredeck. This provides not only
reserve buoyancy, but also a safe surface to walk on in rough weather or a relaxing area for
sunbathing at anchor. This new model also has lifting bow seats that allow you to relax and
enjoy the sail when down, but don't get in the way when docking the boat. There is also a
large sail locker and anchor locker on the foredeck.

ANCHOR: To allow for a curved track for the optional roller screecher, the anchor roller
now goes through the bowsprit. This reduces the effort to stow the anchor.

RUDDERS:
The rudders on the Gemini I 0SMc are mechanically joined through the steering system
and will steer the boat in as little as 18 inches of water when up without putting any extra
load on the wheel. The rudders, like the centerboards, are fiberglass molded with a closed
cell foam inside. There is a solid I I /2" stainless steel post that runs through the middle of
each rudder making it exceptionally strong. The rudders, like the centerboards, will kick up if
they hit the bottom.

optional cabin heater or inverter.

Engine & Mechanical

2013 Westerbeke 30C3 diesel,
Sillette Drive Leg.

ENGINE AND DRIVE LEG:
The standard engine is a 27 hp Westerbeke diesel with 55-amp alternator and heat
exchanger for hot water. The engine drives a lift-able, steerable outdrive leg from Sillette
Marine with a large efficient propeller that can motor in 20 inches of water. A seacock
with fresh water flush makes winterizing much easier. The engine compartment is lined
with Soundown lead and foam and the engine mounts have been selected for minimum
vibration. There are two 18 gal. diesel tanks with fuel shut off and two filters. The instrument
panel has a tachometer, hour meter, and oil pressure and water temperature gauges.
The Westerbeke diesel is fresh water cooled with a self-priming fuel system.

Sails & Rigging

Main, Genoa, Screecher,
Mackpack sail cover with lazy jacks.

MAST, SAILS AND RIGGING:
39 feet off deck. 46 feet off water.
150% roller furling. 340 sq. ft. main. 350 sq. ft. roller furling. Simple slab reefing system with
standard lazy jacks.
The mast is a minimal fractional rig with a single adjustable back stay on a I ft. crane. This
new, full battened, big head mainsail goes behind the backstay improving drive and reducing
heel. The advanced design of this sail allows it to easily pass through the backstayThis new
rig allows us to offer an optional large, lightweight masthead-furling screecher. It is attached
I ft above the roller genoa and tacks down to a curved track between the bows.
The screecher is ideal hard to windward in light airs or off the wind as an asymmetric
spinnaker tacked to windward.
It is mounted on a curved track to enable you to pull it to windward for maximum efficiency This unique system is a cruisers dream; a spinnaker substitute that can be rolled in and
out, as well as a racers option for its ability to be used for upwind work in light airs.

Additional Information

OVERALL PERFORMANCE/HULLS:
PERFORMANCE: The Hulls of the Gemini I 05Mc are shallow and fat with a 'teardrop' shape
giving high load carrying capacity (450 lb. per hull per I inch). They produce negligible
waves while cutting through the water effortlessly. The bridge deck has 39" of clearance at
the bow. This, combined with the lack of pitching and wave making, means pounding on the
Gemini I 05M series is dramatically reduced.
SAFETY: Gemini's high center of buoyancy, low center of gravity, and center of effort,
produce a catamaran as safe as much larger, wider catamarans. Gemini also has buoyancy
tanks at the bow and stem of each hull.
