The Hake Seaward is a very rare and versatile sail boat offering performance, beauty, and the ability to sail anywhere you want because of its unique retracting keel and rudder and the ability to lower the mast yourself without a crane then trailer her home. No slip fees!!!!
This 2005 32RK is in excellent condition and has only 150 hrs. on the 29 H.P. Yanmar engine. It has been upgraded in 2014 with in-mast furling in a brand new mast with all new standing & running rigging, as well as a new main sail and Jib sail which has roller furling. This sporty compact cruiser sail boat is the perfect boat for sailing the waters around Florida and the Bahamas, and offers enough comfort to travel farther afield if desired.
The 32RK is 34' 7" long, 10'6" in the beam, and thanks to a very unusual, motorized vertically retracting keel, and retracting rudder, the draft ranges from 20 inches to 6 1/2 feet and anywhere in between. This feature allows stability in deep water as well as the ability to anchor anywhere and even beach the sail boat, if desired, and walk ashore! The 32RK offers great sailing performance along with very attractive lines and is also a comfortable pocket cruiser for up to 2 couples or a small family. The cabin is very bright thanks to 8 port holes and 2 hatches and offers a spacious and very well laid out cabin that offers 3 sleeping areas, a Navigation station, a nice compact kitchen and a bathroom with a separate shower - a rarity in a boat of this size.
The cockpit is very roomy and offers great seating. All the lines lead back to the cockpit and with the in-mast furling on the main, roller furling on the jib, and self-tailing winches, handling is made easy. The canvas and Eisenglass are in excellent condition.
The boat has a displacement of 8300 lb., and holds 20 gal. fuel and 65 gal. water. It has heat and air conditioning, electric bilge pumps, several cabin fans, lots of storage, and a lockable cabin door.
In 2015 a Tri-Metric battery monitoring system was added as well as 4 new AGM batteries increasing the house bank to 420A.H. New LED reading lamps were installed in the bedroom and by the dinette as well as some new 12 volt brushless fans.
Also newly added is a flat screen TV & DVD system. The TV pivots to allow viewing the screen from either inside the cabin or outside from the cockpit!
Fresh bottom paint was applied in June of 2016. Because of the Seaward's unique system to lower the mast yourself, you can relocate the boat to wherever you want to sail and it's very rare retractable keel makes it the perfect boat for Florida and the Bahamas.
