Electrical
Imagine is fitted with the best and latest electrical system available today.

The Batteries are Lifepo4 (Lithium).
Victron is the absolute best for charging and battery management systems for Marine use, RVs, and Domestic homes. These batteries hold their voltage right through the discharge cycle. Unlike lead acid batteries that have a usable capacity of 50%, 80% of their amp hour capacity is usable, and if needed you can use 100%.

Lifepo4 have a life of 10 years or more. But with the light usage they would possibly last more than 15 years.

2x Victron Lifepo4 batteries with 200 amp hour each with Victron system equipment and all new heavy duty fuses.

New AGM start battery.

You can monitor the batteries from your smart phone using the Victron app.

The Engine is fitted with a heavy duty 180 amp Balmar alternator. It has an external regulator MC618, set to control the charge to the Lifepo4 batteries. All cables from the alternator and the batteries have been correctly sized to carry the extra loads.

A Victron inverter/charger is installed and has 3000 watt AC output. This is a top of the range piece of equipment and is the heart of the system.

An AGM battery is used in the system to act as a starter battery, but the most important feature is to always supply a load to the alternator so that it does not go into an open circuit mode .
The Lifepo4 batteries BMS shut off the charge current coming into them when they are fully charged. So the AGM battery protects the Alternator.
