Description

Rhythm is one of the finest owner version Dolphin catamarans we have ever had the pleasure to launch. She was first built for a demanding owner who insisted she had a full carbon mast, boom, crossbeam, upgraded sails, screecher, custom divinicell floors, et all. To whit, as he lived on her in New York City for a few winters and in the summer, she has a large generator, full air conditioning and a killer stereo with woofers, top of the line electronics, SSB, watermaker, you name it. She is a totally outfitted yacht for off-the-grid living and world voyaging and she is impeccably maintained. See her full list of specifications and upgrades.

We sold her to a Canadian about 10 years ago and he then embarked on a 5 year circumnavigation, arriving back in Florida where we sold her again. Current owner just invested in her and upgraded her, so she’s in really spiffy order for a yacht of her vintage.

She is a performance cruiser that is absolutely perfect for a live-aboard couple or small family.

ON DECK
  • Vacuum-bagged fiberglass composite, vinylester resin and PVC foam core (Divinicel). This construction process adopts the vacuum-bag lamination system which successfully associates resistance with minimal amounts of material. The end result is a lightweight and very resistant composite similar to the kind observed in high-performance racing cars. The fibers contained in this composite run in a multitude of directions to properly meet the strain and tension the vessel experiences. The structural bulkheads are projected and manufactured in PVC (Divinicel) with vacuum-bound bi-axial glass-fiber. The project includes two water-tight bulkheads in each hull.
  • Mast, boom, forward beam, and bowsprit are made of carbon fiber. The external parts of the hulls, the deck and cabin are coated with white Gelcoat with pyramidal no-skid in the horizontal segments. The hull is decorated with stripes above the water-line and around the beams. The part of the hull that is to remain submerged are coated with an epoxy resin barrier coat.
