Manufacturer Provided Description

The Ferretti Yachts 550 is the result of the cooperation between AYT&D, the Group’s research, development and style department, and Studio Zuccon International Project. It is characterised by a brand-new hull, and equally brand-new are the layout of the engine room and that of the main deck, as well as the interior arrangement. In addition to this, special care has been devoted not only to guaranteeing maximum production efficiency and effectiveness, but also to optimising the yacht's weight balance, thereby ensuring great performances even if small, light and low-consumption engines are installed.

The profile of the boat is characterised by sober, streamlined, slender lines, blending together refined elegance and a sporty character. The uninterrupted glazing running across the main deck further enhances the boat’s rakish profile, and is complemented by a large, aerodynamic flybridge. Three large glazed surfaces - the cabins windows - can be found on both sides of the hull. Each has flush frameless fibreglass portholes resulting in very clean lines.

This yacht’s interior spaces and onboard equipment allows it to be on an equal standing with much larger yachts. Many outdoor relaxation areas have been conceived: the forward dinette area, furnished with facing sofas and a table; the large sunpad on the deckhouse; and the cockpit, featuring a large aft sofa and a table. On the flybridge, the storage cabinet and the restyled, small-size pilot station instrument panel allow to extend the relaxation areas - both the sunpad and the comfortable dining area - even more.

The Group’s Centro Stile has found very appealing décor solutions, adding elegance to all onboard ambiances and preserving the range’s unique Made-in-Italy style and charm. The cockpit and the aft area of the salon stand out for an impressive décor consistency. Indeed, the teak flooring found in the cockpit continues indoor, in the galley and the entrance, visually and 'physically' harmonising these different environments. This flawless continuity is also ensured by the new three-section glazed door that can be folded to starboard and concealed behind the stairs leading to the flybridge. The perfect harmony between form and content, aesthetics and functionality is completed by the ceiling panel decoration, which is the same in the salon and outdoor, creating as a sort of 'style mirror' that welcomes all guests at best. The cockpit thus becomes an extension of the interiors, which can be opened completely onto the sea on all sides.

Accommodations

The master stateroom is located midship, flanked by large hullside windows with opening ports. The space has good headroom, generous hanging lockers, a two person settee, and even a work desk. The master head is roomy and has a beautifully tiled shower.

The forward VIP has good hanging locker space and storage below the berth. There are hull windows for outward vision, and a TV for entertainment.  The opening overhead hatch provides natural light and fresh air. The VIP has an ensuite head for your guests privacy.

The third stateroom is a twin bunk arrangement with plenty of storage and its own head.

A crew quarters is aft with entrance through a hatch in the rear seat. It features one bunk and a wet head.

Bridge

From the cockpit, a wide stepped ladder leads to the flying bridge. It has a sleek U-shaped settee complete with backrests, a sunpad forward of the helm that sits below a raked venturi windscreen. A console conceals a wet bar with refrigerator The helm is to port with a Simrad display.  There are covers for all seating, the helm, and wetbar.

Main Deck

The main deck is broken into four spaces. The bridge deck has a U-shaped settee to starboard that faces a large pop up TV to port. The settee has a high low table that can convert to a small berth. A smaller lounge is to port and has the high low helm seat at its most forward point. The port side helm has three Simrad NSS displays that present all of the data a skipper would need, and the boats electrical panel to the lower left.

Step aft and down into the galley. There is a covered sink and four burner Siemens electric cooktop. The U-shaped countertop opens aft. Across the galley to the credenza you'll find a concealed refrigerator and freezer. The vessels flatware and china are stored with plenty of storage space to spare.

A stainless steel three part sliding glass door opens to the cockpit where an aft settee with opening table awaits. There is an icemaker under the steps and a remote for the Fusion sound system.

The hydraulic swim platform is quite unique. Ferretti has designed a raked transom, so as the platform descends into the water at an angle, steps are revealed molded into the transom. This allow you to walk back up into the cockpit with the platform lowered.

The foredeck has a settee and folding storage table just forward of the base of the windshield that melds with a large sun pad forward. Walk around space is generous and the hand rails are sturdy and at a good height.
