Description

1972 Hatteras 45 Convertible

The Hatteras 45C is perhaps the ultimate classic sportfishing convertible with battleship construction and a hull form that has stood the test of time for over 50 years.

“SHAMMY GIRL”’s owner is an exceptionally knowledgeable and generous yachtsman who has lavished over $1,000,000 in her refit over the last 10 years. Captain maintained, of course. While all her mechanical systems are new, serviced, and up to date, the all-teak interior crafted by Scopinich is positively stunning and rivals that of the finest custom yards.

“SHAMMY GIRL” is a most pleasant surprise and a true value in today’s marketplace.

Vessel Walkthrough

Entering from the cockpit, there are teak covering boards and coamings as well as a teak deck. There is a fishbox in the transom and in the deck. A release fighting chair and rocket launcher is mounted on centerline. To starboard of the salon door are tackle lockers and storage, to port is a bait freezer and drink box with storage. Entering the salon, there is a corner sofa to port and a full sofa to starboard. Ahead to port is the galley with solid surface countertops, sink to port, and an appliance garage forward. There are two drum seats on the galley island, which opens up to reveal a huge rigging station. Storage is everywhere on this vessel-there is not a wasted cubic inch. Ahead to starboard is the entertainment center with a Bose system and SAT TV. Down the exquisitely crafted teak companionway, there is a stateroom to port with a large single berth and a forward stateroom with a double centerline berth. To starboard is a full head and separate shower. The flybridge is accessed by a 5 step ladder. There is a Release helm seat, teak pod, Palm Beach Controls, teaser reels, and longitudinal plus athwartships seating.
