NEW PRICE, MOTIVATED SELLERS, EXCELLENT CONDITION, SOON TO BE ON ITS WAY TO FLORIDA FOR SHOWINGS
Introducing SY Vesta, this special 2004 Passport 470 center cockpit sailing yacht is a blue water sailboat built with the ability to circumnavigate the world. SY Vesta has had only 2 owners, the first owners built this vessel with Passport in 2004, then sold it to the current owners in 2011. She has been a home and vehicle to explore the US Atlantic coast from Maine to the Florida Keys, the Bahama Islands, Mexico, the Western Caribbean – Belize, Guatemala and the Bay Islands of Honduras. After 12 years of cruising the waterways with many exciting adventures, her owners are offering her to another cruiser to enjoy as they are moving on to different adventures as they grow older.
SY Vesta has been immaculately cared for down to the finest details. Her interior is stunning with all solid teak and teak veneer on the interior bulkheads and cabinetry, all in excellent condition. The solid teak and holly sole was just refinished in October 2022. The layout is a 2 stateroom with 2 electric heads. The aft is the Owners stateroom with a centerline queen berth and plenty of storage throughout. The forward Guest stateroom has a comfortable custom mattress on the centerline vberth with 3 opening hatches all with screens, in fact the vessel has 5 opening hatches and 14 opening ports all with screens. The walk thru galley to starboard has everything you need with lots of counter space made of Corian. There is a Frigoboat 12v fridge with new compressor installed 2022 and a separate 12v Frigoboat deep freezer. The double stainless sink has 2 foot pumps (raw and fresh water) and a Jabsco faucet pump newly installed 2022. There is also a 3-burner propane stainless steel Princess stove with oven. Other extra features are a Broan trash compactor, and new Whirlpool microwave. In the center salon there is also a Dometic 16000BTU air conditioner, new in 2019.
SY Vesta has been outfitted for long range cruising. She has two 140-watt Kyocera solar panels on top of stainless-steel Kato Marine davits, a wind vane Air Breeze Ocean series with controller and the ability to make water with a Cruise RO 30 gal/hr. water maker (installed 2019). The fresh water tanks hold a total of 140 gallons (new 2019), the fuel tanks hold 70 gallons. There are four Lifeline GPL-4DL AGM sealed batteries each 12 V, 210Ah for the house bank, and one 12 V, 800CCA 105Ah battery for the engine starter. There is also a 12 V, 800CCA 105Ah windlass battery for the Vetus bow thruster. The batteries are monitored using a Xantrex inverter with a Link 2000 Battery status monitor. If you need extra power, there is a Northern Lights Model M673L3—diesel powered 5.5kw generator with only 100 hours, very clean and well maintained. The Yanmar 75 HP Inboard Model 4 Cylinder 4JH3-TBE engine has also been kept in pristine condition with regular maintenance and is easily accessible with 3-sided access below the middle counter.
The rigging and sails are in good condition, with the main and head sails inspected every 2 years. The main sail is a Schaefer in-Boom furling by North Sail at 475 sqft. The North Sail head sail is 545 sqft and has a new sacrificial canvas sun cover. There is also a spinnaker with whisker pole and an adjustable Staycil with the sail in good condition. There are plenty of winches on deck including 1 two-speed #40 STEC electric utility winch on starboard.
SY Vesta is equipped with the following navigation instruments: a Garmin Helm-model 7600, a Navigation station Garmin model 7610 SXV, Garman radar and radar reflector. She also has a Raymarine autopilot that is hydraulic assisted, and Garmin depth and wind instruments. For communication at sea, she is equipped with 2 ICOM, at Nav station (IC-M402) and cockpit (IC-M424G) along 1 handheld (Standard Horizon Model HX380). There is also a SSB radio: ICOM (Model IX-M700PRO) on board. Safety equipment on board includes an ACR epirb, AIS, a Zodiac Open Sea ISO9650 life raft inspected in 2019 with a ditch bag, both in clamshell casing mounted on aft of the vessel and a custom medical kit. There is also an Emergency Steering System with tiller.
The current owners have made a detailed list of all maintenance and upgrades that have been done over the years as well as more details on the construction of the 2004 47’ Passport. They are selling SY Vesta with so many extras for the next lucky cruiser(s). They are leaving many spare parts, necessary tools and hardware items. Galley supplies: Nesting Magma pans and Magma exterior grill, also dishes, silverware, drink ware, kitchen utensils/baking supplies, bar supplies and wine glasses, and a Soda Stream unit with gas canisters.
