Beneteau 423 3 Cabin 3 Head

Starcatcher is indeed a big, comfy, safe 42.  She'd make a wonderful family cruiser for long adventures with 3 cabins and 3 heads, a huge galley to port midship and a semi-walk around queen berth in the V with an ensuite head are just a couple highlights.

This broker found the boat to be in very good condition, especially considering her maturity.  The cockpit is large, and you enter it via an aft swim deck (with ladder) through a transom seat "door".  This made the boarding easy, even if you have knee issues as this broker does.  Easy breezy!  Be great for a ramp for your doggies.  Once you pass through the large cockpit, you step down into the salon over a comfortable set of stairs.  To starboard you'll find one of the two aft berths.  Both generous in space and both with heads.

Moving forward to starboard is the fully outfitted navigation station.  All the equipment you need to make passages (see list of upgrades) including two computer screens.  Not working? then stretch out on what amounts to a chaise when you turn back towards the salon.  Feet up, book in hand!

The dining table itself could easily accommodate 6-8 with a bench set centerline.  Looking across to port you'll find a fully equipped galley.  Pristine oven/range, top loading fridge and freezer, double sink, hot and cold water with a foot pump for seawater.  Any chef would be delighted to plan and make meals here!

Moving forward after stopping to view the volumes of space behind dining seats and under, you'll find the captains quarters with a queen berth and private ensuite head.  A TV is mounted on a swing out arm for convenience.  Plenty of locker space here as well.  Two bench seats next to the bed will make dressing comfortable.

The entire boat is bathed in light from the opening hatches and overhead 'skylights', giving it a much larger airy feel, making this a very pleasant place to hang out, play games eat meals, read books, study charts, you name it.  You won't want for anything equipment wise on StarCatcher, and you'll have the space to spread out and relax.

Moving topsides, you'll notice the excellent condition of the decks, no cracks or blisters noticed and again, easy to walk around.  The topside is wide and felt very comfortable when moving forward.  You could picture yourself lounging or putting a chair or two up when at anchor or even a hammock.

*Blink Security System in place.  Dockage transfer available.

For a long-distance cruising couple or  family, it would be hard to find a  sailboat of this style, comfort and safety at such an affordable price - especially considering the $130K in extras outfitted for the prior owner.  (He planned his trip to Australia which never materialized).  You'll benefit from all his thoughtful, safe, smart upgrades.

She's ICW Friendly too!

Construction: Hull is hand-laid solid fiberglass with a vinylester barrier coat. The hull and structural hull liner are bonded using polyester adhesive. The deck is balsa cored.

Cruising World:

"The 423 divides this generous volume in alternative ways, a two-cabin and a three-cabin version. Both layouts have the same forward cabin and head, dining area (more or less), aft head, and engine compartment. The three-cabin boat has its galley along the port side, opposite the dinette, a nav desk to starboard with the head opposite, and two essentially identical big-berth cabins on either side aft. ..."
