John Thomas

John has been around the water from an early age, and boating has always been a big part of his life. Whether he is cruising, working with clients, or talking boats with fellow enthusiasts, he is most at home on the water. His favorite cruising grounds include Block Island Sound and the Caribbean, and in the summer he enjoys spending time aboard his Viking 48 in Mystic, Connecticut.

Before joining the Massey at Springline Yacht Sales team in 2018, John gained valuable experience selling a wide range of powerboats, from pontoons to large sportfishing boats. That background gave him a strong understanding of different boats, boating lifestyles, and what clients are looking for. He brings that practical knowledge and client-first mindset to the Massey team.

While John has deep experience in the powerboat market, he is also a sailor. After joining the Mystic crew, he quickly became the top salesperson in new sailboats as well as yacht brokerage. His success, along with the dealership’s continued growth, led to his promotion to Northeast Sales Manager in 2024.

John is also highly mechanical and has strong knowledge of ship systems, which makes him a helpful resource throughout the buying, selling, and ownership process. Clients appreciate his hands-on experience, straightforward guidance, and ability to understand both the practical and personal sides of boating.

Above all, John focuses on service, trust, and long-term relationships. As he puts it, “I love helping boaters of all types, putting their needs first while guiding them through the whole process from the first handshake to final delivery and beyond.”
