Steve Murray

Steve lives in the Amelia Island, Florida area. When he is not assisting clients or spending time on the water, he enjoys fly fishing, building saltwater and freshwater fly rods, and crafting model sailing ships.

Originally from New England, Steve Murray’s love for boating began on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, where time on the water sparked a passion that has stayed with him throughout his life. He earned his first formal sailing credentials from Boston Harbor Sailing School in 1978 and, after retiring from a successful career in the telecom industry, chose to follow that passion full time. In 2009, Steve earned his Master 100-Ton Captain’s License and began working as a delivery captain, completing more than 100 power and sailing yacht deliveries and logging over 75,000 blue water miles. He also added an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor rating, further deepening his ability to share his knowledge with others.

Today, Steve brings a steady hand, practical perspective, and decades of real-world boating knowledge to his role as a Florida-licensed yacht broker with Massey Yacht Sales. As a mobile broker serving clients throughout Florida, he takes pride in helping buyers and sellers feel informed, comfortable, and confident at every step. Whether evaluating a vessel, preparing for a sale, or navigating the details of a purchase, Steve draws on his extensive cruising, delivery, and instructional experience to offer thoughtful guidance and dependable support.
