Sometimes dreams do come true; well it did for my wife and I a couple years ago. I was thinking of moving to Tampa/St Pete area following my retirement from FedEx located in Memphis, TN. We had a dream to find a place that was always warm, had great water for boating and a place to sail well on a whim I found myself at the Harborage Marina, and met Bill Wiard of Massey Yacht Sales. He immediately took me under his wing, talked to me about sailboats, promised to send me available boats for sail when I returned to Memphis, and said he could make “it ” my dream a reality and he did. We actually purchased a brand new 36 ft Hunter Sailboat at a local boat show in St Pete, he made sure it was equipped the way a new sailor would need it; oh did I tell you we had never sailed before? No problem, Bill arranged for us to meet a Captain who taught us on our own boat, in our surrounding waters, and conditions that is the way to do it It again being living your dream we have since cruised all the west coast of Florida and spent many wonderful hours on Tampa Bay…we even did a little racing and we have met great people at Massey, who have always treated us like family so if anyone asks me about sailing or buying a boat, there is only one place to go.
