Description
“MOSEY” is a custom built steel trawler at the Gregg Neck Boatyard in Maryland in 2004, with a completion date of 2007. In addition the vessel was also at the Georgetown Yacht Basin. Mosey is an 8 knot cruiser burning roughly 3 gal.per hr in comfort powered by a 300hp John Deere engine. The actual design was to insure safe and comfortable cruising in weather and sea conditions not ordinarily designed for the casual cruiser. The 2950 fuel tank allows for an 8000 nautical mile journey. The owner/operator is the original captain and builder.
With 12 AGM batteries wired in series of 4, along with dual 1800 Xantrex inverters, Mosey dosen’t require dockside tie ups. While the mechanical and electrical side of the trawler build is complete, the interior bulkheads still require finishing from a carpentry standpoint from flooring to side walls of the entire interior, to include the pilot house. This interior finishing can be accomplished by a handy boatowner or the boatyard of their choice. Please view the interior photos to determine the scope of the finishing required.
“MOSEY” was hauled over 2 years ago for bottom paint and a re-paint above the waterline as well. A complete listing of the particulars are available in the listing itself. A recent lowering in the price is indicative of an anxious seller.

Personal Information
The current owner has lived aboard until just recently. A change in plans now require the sale. The seller was very instrumental in the actual design and fabrication of MOSY at the Gregg Neck Boatyard in Maryland as well as the Georgetown Yacht Basin.
More recently a major price reduction was lowered to $300,000. This price reduction was brought about in an endeavor to capture a boat buyer looking for 70 feet of space without spending one million dollars. In addition, the seller has moved off of the vessel to show the interior with an uncluttered view.
