The varnished teak interior is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The (9) deck hatches, several opening ports and large fixed ports on the cabin top provide plenty of light and ventilation, creating a bright and airy interior. The two-stateroom layout offers accommodations for 6 with (2) in the forward stateroom, (2) in the main salon, and (2) in the large aft stateroom. Creature comforts include:

There is a guest cabin with V-berth forward and ensuite vanity and sink.
Main Cabin includes a large U-shaped dinette to starboard with outboard storage and shelving. There is a large dining table that can see six comfortably, with a storage locker beneath. Across to port there is a settee with additional outboard storage.
Aft of the port settee is the full-size navigation station with storage beneath. AC and DC switch panels, heating and air-conditioning control panel, battery & tank monitors, ship's radio, and stereo system.
The Head is located to port with dual access to both the Main Cabin and Aft Stateroom.
The large Aft stateroom is accessed through either the port Head or from the Galley to starboard. It features a queen size athwartship berth, seating, and large storage lockers port & starboard as well as a vanity just forward of the berth.

Abundant natural light streams in from the Hunter signature windshield as well as the many fixed and screened ports, not to mention the multiple overhead hatches which also provide a tremendous amount of fresh air. At anchor, or at the dock, the placement of the ports assures great ventilation, and reverse cycle air and heat are an optional choice. Entertaining or handling the family is easy with the enlarged salon complete with a convertible dinette and facing settee. Storage is plentiful as is electronic space at the integrated nav station. A Corian-covered, full-service galley comes complete right down to the dishware, and any chef will adore the side-by-side ice boxes and top-loading trash bin set each side of the double basin, stainless sink. The private forward stateroom on the Hunter 386 includes an en suite vanity with sink and storage, as well as plenty of hanging locker and drawer storage. Aft, the master stateroom has a large queen berth and more storage. Privacy is enhanced by the dual access head that offers a Corian-covered vanity, electric marine head, and shower stall all wrapped in a complete fiberglass shell for easy cleaning and maintenance.
