It boasts of good performance under power as well as sail.

Manufacturer Provided Description
Handcrafted by artisans, the Irwin 52 presents unparalleled luxury with distinctive styling. Designed as a matched system, every part specifically interrelates to provide quality, reliability and durability. The Irwin 52 features over 150 standard equipment items making time spent aboard relaxing and enjoyable. Each 52 features items such as a roller furling headstay, refrigeration, stain resistant upholstery, and ergonomically designed chairs for the breakfast bar and salon. The masthead ketch rig is engineered to powerfully and swiftly drive through the water. To make sail handling a snap there is also an optional furling main sail. The 52 also features advantages such as foam-cored horizontal deck surfaces for stiffness and insulation, plus corrosion resistant, stainless steel deck hardware. The raised quarterdeck and drop-level soles allow plenty of headroom from the V-berth to the aft stateroom. Richly finished in teak, the salon is large and ideal for entertaining. The galley has a tremendous amount of counter space for food preparation and features an LPG gimbaled stove with oven, a refrigerator / freezer, a pantry, and a washer / dryer. The Irwin 52 has a choice between three semi-custom accommodation plans. One example includes the owner's stateroom aft with a spacious queen-size berth along with five storage lockers, drawer bank, two cedar-trimmed hanging lockers, as well as a private head with shower.
