Description
The Stamas 44 is considered a quality long range cruising sailboat designed for offshore sailing or as a great live aboard! Perkins powered, and fully air Conditioned for comfort. This Stamas is also equipped with a 8 KW Generator and 3000 Watt Inverter. A special custom fabricated hard top and a fully enclosed cockpit with windows and screens let you enjoy all types of weather when cruising. Nice and bright main salon, full galley, aft master stateroom and forward cabin, each with full heads/showers and storage. In mid companionway is a washer and dryer located also a big workbench with storage for tools and parts makes repairs easy to do under way or at shore. Navigation electronics station with desk and seat forward of companionway for added office space as well as navigation. Aft passageway, offers a berth that serves as work space if need be, leads to spacious aft stateroom w/double berth and full head and shower. Forward stateroom sports a large V berth, cedar lined hanging lockers and a private head and stand up shower. Fully Air Conditioned and so much more! Most forward is the chain locker followed by the guest stateroom containing storage space underneath the V-berth bed. Two steps lead up to the large central salon with counter area with storage lockers to starboard followed by “U” shaped galley. To port is a convertible dinette with 3 storage drawers and additional storage underneath, followed by the teak navigation-station and entry way to aft cabin. On the starboard side of the walk thru is the separate engine room access. The master stateroom also is equipped with a custom made mattress, 4 large lockers and a 5-self teak cabinet. End suite is the master head with separate shower and toilette. On the back deck the big middle storage lockers holds 4 dive tanks (80CFM) and is spacious for lots of spare lines and tools. A dive compressor is also located above the rare hatch. On the starboard stern is a very practical fish cleaning station permanent mounted. Two stern rear mounted rail seats let you enjoy the sunset every day. The boat has a full survey.

The subject vessel was observed to be a stock 1984 Stamas 44 Auxiliary Ketch, built by Stamas Yachts, Tarpon Springs, Florida, using proven methods, materials and techniques as far as can be ascertained from a visual inspection. The vessel was powered by single screw Perkins 4.154 diesel engine, developing approximately 62 horsepower through a Hurth Mechanical marine transmission with a ratio of 2.72:1 and serial #13283. On the bow was located a double bow roller system inset in a bowsprit, while aft, a Lofrans windlass, horizontally set, having both gypsy and wildcat capabilities, was also noted. Aft over the center cockpit, was a burgundy Bimini top with a forward beige dodger and enclosures, with a wheel pedestal, centerline, and steering assembly, aft of same. An aluminum alloy hydraulic swim platform was attached to the transom, centerline with an aft swift solar arch.
