Description

Well Built and Capable

Perfect For the Bahamas

This comfortable and capable centerboard sloop was designed by Ted Hood, and built by the Wauquiez yard in Lille, France.   Ted Hood is legendary for his Americas Cup win and his iconic yacht designs built primarily by Hinckley, Bristol, and Little Harbor Yachts during that time.  Wauquiez has a reputation for a very high level of build quality during the era of the Hood 38 and Pretorien 35.

Her interior feels large and modern for a 38′ cruiser of this era, and her hull and rig design give her excellent sailing characteristics.   The keel design offers plenty of flexibility with her centerboard up (4’6″) to enter anchorages with skinny water.  With her board down (10’8″), one can enjoy the spirited performance that only a deep draft cruiser allows.

With two private staterooms and two heads, there is plenty of room to cruise with friends and family.  The hull shares the same Hood design as the Bristol 38.8 and the Little Harbor 38.   This is a well found yacht with a fantastic pedigree.
