Description

Tsunami has enjoyed exceptional care for most of her life, however the current owner whose pride of ownership has always been obvious, has encountered health issues that have prevented him from caring for her for the past couple of years. Her interior is still  in excellent shape including all new cushions still wrapped in plastic and her cherry interior still gleams. All chrome deck hardware, winches etc.  was sent off and re-chromed and looks new. All deck hatches were replaced and still look new…Her sails were replaced in around 2005 and don’t have 50 hrs sailing time on them. Her teak decks were replaced around 2000.

ACCOMODATIONS & LAYOUT

 Tsunami has a lovely warm interior that is built of solid cherry with a teak and holly cabin sol and brand new white leather cushions still in their plastic wrap. 

 

A  quick review of her interior configuration is as follows: Master stateroom forward with a centerline double berth followed by a dual access head to starboard. Next aft is the main salon with a semicircular dinette to port with a custom inlaid dining table and a long settee opposite that makes into a double berth. Aft of the settee is the galley followed by the Nav Station. and then the captains' quarters all the way aft to starboard.  aft and to port is the guest cabin with double berth and guest head with seperate.stall shower and washer dryer combination.

 

FORWARD STATEROOM

The centerline berth which measures 96"X 64" takes nothing away from the spacious stateroom which is 12' in length. There is a tremendous amount of storage behind and outboard of the berth and two large drawers beneath. A large Cedar lined hanging locker with double doors to port. To starboard there is a built in TV on a swivel that slides back, locks in and is hidden by two louvred doors. This cabin has cherry sheathing on both sides and recessed lighting both underneath and the port and starboard storage areas and below the bunk. Headroom is approximately 7'. The cabin has its own 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit. Light and air are via 22' X 22" overhead Hood hatch and a large opening port.

FORWARD HEAD

Dual access head that can be entered from the forward cabin or the salon.The countertops are granite installed approximately 10 years ago. The sole in the head is dark green hand laid tile. The head has a Vacu-Flush head system a beautiful 35"x29" oval mirror and an additional double mirror outboard of the sink which opens up for storage. A new custom Hood hatch, dorade vent a large opening port and 12v fan to allow for ample ventilation. Teak grate for shower drain.

MAIN SALON

To port is the semicircular settee which can comfortably seat six and has a custom inlaid cherry table. To starboard is the settee which has three large storage areas beneath and also behind the backrest. Above the forward section is a full-sized wet locker and behind the aft section is a built-in bookcase and a TV which is concealed behind two louvered doors that open and retract. To port behind the dining area are bookcases and storage compartments with louvred doors. Forward of the dining are is a bar with a Raritan icemaker built in behind louvred doors and a lovely countertop with Ash inlay. The bar area has ample bottle and glass storage including a wine rack. Two overhead hatches port and starboard 14" X 20" and a larger 24" x 24" between the salon and galley and 4 ss opening ports. The second 16,000 BTU air conditioning/heating system is located in the salon. 5 overhead dome lights on a rheostat. Twlo lamps port and starboard.

AFT STATEROOM

This cabin is to, port of the companionway and is finished in solid cherry with sheathing along the hull. The berth is 55" X 81". Above and along the hull are large storage lockers , aft of the berth is a TV built into the bulkhead. There is a 4-drawer bureau forward and outboard of the berth and 2 large drawers under the berth. There is a cedar lined hanging locker forward of the bureau. The third 12000 BTU air conditioning/heating unit is located here which serves the guest cabin, head and starboard captain's cabin on the starboard side. Large opening port for ventilation.

The aft head granite countertops and cherry trim and the same green tile on the sole as the forward shower. Vacu-Flush head system and porcelain sink. Forward of the sink is a large, enclosed shower 25" X 40" and outboard of the shower is the combination washer/dryer In board is alternate engine access. Ventilation and light are provided by  an opening port and a large overhead hatch.
