Description
The Cape George 34 is in a league of her own. “Lady Hamilton” (originally “Higgins II”) was hull #1 from Cape George Marine Works in Port Townsend, WA and was the flagship vessel of the 34′ cutter fleet. The hull was laid in 1993 and she was fully commissioned in 1997.
When surveyed in 2014, the surveyor noted that Lady Hamilton was in the top 1% of quality and craftsmanship that he had ever seen throughout his career.
“Lady Hamilton” is a cutter rig with a substantial bowsprit, built upon a solid, hand-laid, fiberglass hull. She features a full keel with protected rudder and is powered by the reliable Perkins M35 with approximately 1,200 hours. Interior joinery consists of Teak and Cedar, sole is Teak and Holly. She features two new headsails; however, a new owner may wish to replace the mainsail. She also features a Maxwell anchor windlass, wind turbine, solar panels, Monitor wind vane, rack and pinion steering with Whitlock autopilot, and a full suite of electronics such as dual VHF, SSB with Pactor modem, and chartplotter, which while older, are still serviceable.
If you’re looking for a special vessel with true bluewater pedigree to put some final personal touches on then look no further.
