Electrical

Original electrical system and electrical panel is operational and an additional electrical system has been added for autonomy. See notes below *.
12V batteries lead acid new 2022 (2 West Marine). 75W solar panel on deck with charge controller This system powers the boat and starts the motor. The motor also will charge these two lead acid batteries.
*Two electrical features have been installed on the boat for autonomy. These are a Goal Zero Yeti 1000Core Solar generator with associated solar panels and a Dometic CFX55 chest style refrigerator.
The Goal Zero Yeti 1000Core Lithium battery system charges devices, runs 12V and 110VAC appliances to 1200 W. Four x 100 Watt solar panels on stern charge the Yeti 1000Core. This system will also run the boat electrical system through a switch on the electrical panel and it will charge the lead acid boat battery when it is required. The Goal Zero unit operates the fridge and will power the boat overnight and all day with a 30 - 60 per cent margin, depending on use and sunlight. It is usually fully charged by early to mid afternoon.
Navigation Lights Red/Green on bow, white on stern. New Hella Tricolor on masthead, combined with Anchor Light. The anchor light is operational, while the tricolour is only wired to the base of the mast and the feed for that is not yet connected.
New VHF Cable masthead antenna to base of mast
