The Glenn Henderson-designed hull sports a unique ?bow hollow? at the stern ? creating a longer waterline for increased lift and speed.
The underbody aft also has a stern reflect for a flatter exit, resulting in enhanced stability and reduced wake characteristics.
The 5ft0in shoal keel allows greater access to bays and inlets.
Luxury living is yours on the 44 DS which keeps both you and your crew in an elegant and extremely comfortable living space complete with panoramic views and increased headroom afforded by the raised roofline of the deck salon version with its 7ft0in headroom in the main

The Hunter 44 Deck Salon is an innovative cruiser with a performance orientated hull drawn by noted designer and racer, Glenn Henderson, Hunters Chief Designer. Following on the heals of the tremendously successful Hunter 356, the 44 shares the same sailing attributes. Like the 356, the 44 carries the beam well aft, but the additional beam does not hinder performance or sea keeping ability, it actually enhances it. Wide windows and ports offer a real panorama and the creative layout allows for two full staterooms with two full heads with separate stall showers. Continuing to innovate and go more upscale. Galley appliances are stainless steel and surrounded by genuine Corian countertops. Innerspring mattresses are standard in both spacious staterooms.
