The IP485 is a palatial three stateroom, two head blue water cruiser known for its high level of safety, build quality, comfort and seakeeping abilities.   She is easy to single-hand with three electric winches, all lines led to the cockpit, a manageable sail plan, bow thruster, and newer modern electronics.    Her robust solar array can run two refrigerators and one freezer as well as most auxiliary power needs.  With a LOA of 52′, a draft of 5′ 3″, a mast height of 63′ 6″, and 300 gallons of fuel and water you can go almost anywhere.    

Moondance is equipped with all of the available factory exterior options including bow thruster, electric winch package, extending boom (for lifting a dingy out of the water and onto the aft deck) and a new bimini and dodger with a full enclosure.   The air conditioning units provide 48,000BTU’s of cooling or reverse-cycle heat to the vessel.

Accomodations

Starting forward is a large private stateroom with island berth and abundant storage.   There is an assortment of lockers, cabinets, drawers and shelves.  A door provides private access to the adjacent head to port.

The forward head features a VacuFlush toilet, separate shower stall and Corian vanity countertop with an integrally molded sink.

To starboard is a third cabin configured as High/Low Bunks.  The berth can also be converted into a single large lower bunk.  There is plently of light and storage everywhere you look. 

Next aft is the roomy main salon with panoramic views through an array of large windows. To port and starboard are full length settees with the starboard settee convertible to a double berth. Island Packet's signature bulkhead-mounted dining table stows against the forward bulkhead.  The port side features a small coffee table that can be moved to either side of the salon. 

Next aft to port is the comfortable navigation station featuring a high backed swivel armchair, large navigation desk with storage beneath, chart storage and a wet locker.

To port is the gourmet galley with Corian counter surfaces. The open galley layout provides ample room for two to work comfortably.  The refrigerator and freezer are in separate adjacent compartments, each controlled by individual thermostats.  There is an additional drawer style refrigerator ideally sized for beverages.   Engine access is through a doorway under the sink.  

Next aft is the owner's stateroom with a queen-sized island berth and plenty of cabinets, lockers, drawers and shelves, as well as a dressing chair to starboard.

The private aft head is ensuite and features Corian countertops with integrally molded sink, VacuFlush toilet and separate shower stall.
