Vessel Walk-through

Enter the large cockpit via a starboard transom door. There are three access hatches to the lazarette in the fiberglass non-skid sole. There are mezzanine seats facing aft on each side of the lockable hard door to the pilothouse and interior. The enclosed pilothouse provides great comfort in all weather. It is finished with gelcoat with satin cherry trim. Teak decking covers the sole. Plenty of seating is provided by the L-shaped settee to port and a single settee to starboard and two Stidd helm/passenger seats; all covered in Ultraleather. The teak table is high gloss with inlay. For total comfort in any climate, there is 24,000 BTUs of reverse cycle A /C and heat. 2 overhead hatches with Oceanair screens/shades provide natural ventilation along with an opening center, forward window as well as side widows and opening pilothouse door. This vessel is unique as the first Sabre 42 to customize the access to belowdeck on the port side and make that totally open, allowing for a lot of natural light below and a luxurious, wide-open feel.

  • Soft headliner panels
  • Corian countertops
  • Teak and Holly sole
  • Dovetail joints on drawers
  • Wood handholds throughout

The guest room has an extra cushion to convert to a double berth. The salon has a comfortable L-shaped sofa with adjustable varnished wood table, plus lots of storage, overhead hatches and opening portlights with accordian blinds.

The master stateroom is forward with a centerline island double berth, generous storage, and a private entrance to the head.

The head is between the master and guest cabins and has a large separate shower as well as second entry door from the salon.

Helm Deck/Upper Salon

The pilothouse of this boat was customized by Sabr for this owner and the modification was so good it became the new standard! The forward dash to port was removed which opened up the galley, making the boat feel more connected and airier with LOTS of natural light. A fiberglass chart locker with clear Lexan top was also added forward of the passenger Stidd seat.

The helm area provides great 360-degree visibility for captain and mate from the comfort of matching Stidd helm seats. The hard rear enclosure and 24,000 BTU reverse cycle A/C and heat plus opening windows and hatches insure year-round comfort.
