Stepping below, the enormous full-beam interior of the Carver 44CPMY — made possible by raising the side decks to eye level — comes as a surprise. With its panoramic views and nearly seven feet of headroom, the salon dimensions are those of a much larger boat. Introduced in 2004, this 2005 model has an optional “Extended Salon” floor-plan with a full-size dinette, enlarged galley and redesigned forward stateroom. Both staterooms have queen berths and 2 full heads with walk-in showers. A sliding glass door in the master stateroom opens directly into the cockpit. Wing doors and a hardtop protect the aft deck, with a bump out with built-in seating. There is a mounted folding teak dining table that can be lowered and used as a coffee table. Topside, the helm is forward on the spacious fly-bridge with lounge seating and wet bar.
