Description

     Tiger Eyes is an elegant 42’ single engine Down East style motor yacht constructed with fiberglass and closed cell PVC foam core.  Metal mesh reinforcement is in the outer layer of fiberglass to provide puncture resistance. The hull design provides excellent seakeeping and performance. Having a side door at the helm and at the opposing side are great for docking and easy access to the decking areas while cruising. It is also great for ventilation.

     Operationally, the comfortable Stidd chairs at the helm and navigational station provide extra security and comfort underway. The helm is complete with up-to-date electronics and controls. The yacht shows well with its elegant cherry interior beautifully maintained. It has an extended hardtop over the cockpit. She is elegant inside and designed for a single couple transit and living with an overly generous down galley and head that contains a tub/shower. No need to wet the entire head area when showering or bathing.

Salon

     The Salon can be entered from a large door via the aft deck or from either the port or starboard pilot house doors. The Salon has a beautiful teak and holly wood floor. To port is a L shaped leather seating area. In front of the seating area is a fold up Cherry table for entertaining. The entire salon is Satin varnished Cherry wood. Large windows to port and starboard offer spectacular views while aboard. The windows also have wood blinds for privacy. An aft window does slide open for ventilation. The ceiling has overhead lights with a padded headliner. There is a grab rail in the middle of the ceiling which goes the full length of the Salon. There is a clock and barometer mounted on the aft wall of the Salon. The salon has a 18000 btu air conditioning unit.


Pilot House

     The pilot house in this Yacht has sliding side doors to port and starboard. This is great for easy access to the decks from either side while docking the boat. It also allows for great visibility and ventilation. There are three large windows with oversized wipers forward, also two side windows. To Starboard is the helm area with a Stidd Captain chair on top of a Cherry wood storage pedestal. The Console houses two Garmin 7612 multi-function displays for viewing the chart plotter, radar, depth, and any other desired data. There are also 3 New Garmin multi-function displays which can be configured to show depth, speed, wind direction, or any desired data as well. There is a New Garmin Autopilot, Cummins engine display, bow and stern thruster controls, ACR spotlight controls, Lenco trim tab control, and anchor lift controls. The Ritchie compass has a nice stainless and Cherry mounting base. There is a dedicated VHF radio for the Captain, a high water alarm, and a fire X monitor. To port at the pilot house is another Stidd helm chair with storage beneath. There is a navigation chart table with storage below and a dedicated VHF radio for the navigator as well.


Galley

      Steps with storage below lead from the Salon to the beautiful Cherry wood galley. The galley has a U shaped Corian countertop with storage below. There is a double basin sink with a New Grohe faucet. The galley features a three burner Force ten cooktop, Sharp convection microwave oven, New Isotherm refrigerator, and a Cold plate style freezer under a Corian hatch in the countertop. There is also a garbage chute via another Corian counter hatch access. There is a full door which leads to a huge pantry just forward of the galley. There are overhead lights on the padded headliner and Beautiful Teak and Holley flooring.


Stateroom

     The stateroom is extremely large for this size boat. It is finished in Beautiful Cherry wood with planked walls aside the bed. There is a very large Queen Island bed with 6.5 feet of length, and lots of headroom in this stateroom. Two overhead escape hatches let in lots of light and provide excellent ventilation along with the two portholes in the hull sides. There are overhead lights mounted on the padded headliner. The flooring is teak and holly. Under the bed are four drawers with great storage along with a locker on port and starboard sides. The stateroom has a 12,000 btu air conditioner.


Bathroom

     The bathroom on this boat is extremely spacious. It is light and bright with an overhead hatch and two portholes, which also offer great ventilation. It features a large bath tub with shower. There is a vanity with White Corian countertops and storage below. The sink is stainless steel with a mirror above. There are overhead lights on the padded headliner. The Dometic toilet is a macerator type toilet. Flooring is a white synthetic material for durability..


Engine Room

     The engine room is accessed thru a newly installed, electrically operated hatch in the salon floor. This opens and closes the heavy-duty hatch with a push of a button. The Cummins QSM11 660 hp main engine has a oversized raw water sea strainer, large dual racor fuel filters, and a new exhaust mixing elbow. The main engine has 2795 hours. The Cummins is swinging a 5 bladed Nibral pro so the boat runs Very smooth. There is also a Separ fuel polishing system in the engine room. The Onan 9kw generator is located in the engine room and currently has 3022 hours. The engine room also houses the batteries, battery chargers, electrical panel, water heater, hynautic steering reservoir, and freshwater pump. There is a separate high water bilge pump in the engine room.


Top Deck

     There are 3 footsteps leading up to the top deck. On top is a Marquipt davit and nine-foot Caribe hard bottom dinghy. The davit has a 600lb capacity. The dinghy has a newer 15hp Yamaha electric start motor and a brand new Sunbrella cover. There is a mast which houses the Garmin open array radar antenna, Garmin gps antennas, AIS antenna, XM weather antenna and wind speed instruments. There are two Kalenburg air horns, ACR spotlight, along with two polished wind Chutes on the hardtop.


Deck Areas

     The walkways leading to the forward deck are wide with high hand rails.  Cleats and all deck hardware are extra heavy duty. A varnished teak rail goes all the way around the perimeter of the yacht. The anchor windlass is a stainless-steel Whitehouse with foot switches. There are two anchor closets, one has chain for the Lewmar stainless anchor. The other stows a large Fortress anchor with rope. There is a New full wrap around Sunbrella windshield cover.


Stern Area

     The Stern area has overhead grab rails, a stainless sink with Grohe faucet, a counter for a portable grill, and a storage cabinet to starboard of entry door. There is also storage below the steps leading forward to the upper decks. Below the deck is a 450-gallon diesel fuel tank. There are also two 65-gallon saddle tanks in the engine room giving Tiger Eyes a 580-gallon capacity. There is a beautiful, varnished teak table which folds down and stores without taking up any space. There are foldable deck chairs.  A wide transom gate leads to a large Swim platform with a telescopic ladder and grab rails.


Updates

The owner of the Tiger Eyes has continually maintained and updated the yacht. She just came out of the boatyard where she got new bottom paint and a new electric engine room hatch lift. New Garmin wind speed, and depth displays were added in 2022. They also installed a new Garmin autopilot and depth transducer in 2022. Some other recent upgrades include:

  • New exhaust manifold on Cummins
  • New turbo on Cummins Engine
  • All coolers cleaned out
  • New Sea Strainer for generator
  • New AGM battery for generator
  • New ZF shift/speed controller and more
