CATAMARAN FOR SALE-
The Lagoon 440 has their trademark vertical panoramic cabin windows. She is 44′ 8? in length, 25′ 3? in beam, and draws 4′ 3? per the design specifications. The bows are slightly raked with a straight sheer and swim platforms aft. The goal is to maximize interior volume. The rig has a fair bit of rake to it at 70′ bridge clearance. The Lagoon 440 features a centerline flybridge which sits the helmsman up high. Underneath, the rudders are set forward of the Yanmar saildrives to maximize space in the aft cabins. The hulls are voluminous and have mid-sized keels to improve tracking and minimize leeway. Displacement is a moderate 27,000 pounds. Construction of the hulls and cabin below the waterline is of solid epoxy laminate while the topsides are a composite cored sandwich of fiberglass, epoxy, and balsa with abundant framing throughout the interior for better strength and reduced weight. The high helm position provides excellent visibility when maneuvering. Instead of guessing where all four corners of the 440 are, you can see well but need a mate to catch the dock lines. There is a windlass with bridle forward for easy anchoring, trampolines port and starboard, and a centerline well with deep tackle stowage area.

The saloon features an L-shaped settee with excellent storage underneath, a matching L-shaped galley starboardside and aft along the companionway, and a navigation desk. The charter version has matching hulls with cabins and heads forward and aft for a total of 4 heads and 4 cabins.

The galley is located in the aft of the salon. The galley is "L"-shaped and is equipped with a three-burner stove, oven, a refrigerator and a triple sink. The current owner has removed the oven and created additional storage. A navigation station is opposite the galley, and houses a freezer.

With no helm fitted in the aft cockpit, it is a lounge and entertaining area.

The starboard engine has suffered a sail drive failure and needs replacement. The engine is original equipment and will likely make sense to replace that one too. The port engine 4JH5E and sail drive SD60 were replaced new in 2019. Fixed propellers.The seller is researching price and availability of both an engine and an SD60 sail drive and will adjust the price upward when that financial commitment is made. The boat will come with 2 additional SD50’s, used and rebuildable. As this is a work in progress, we are entertaining offers at the current price, prior the work being completed.
